Becoming a Pharmacist - How and why I became a Pharmacist by Sheri Edwards

Image
How, and Why I Became a Pharmacist I always thought I wanted to be a doctor, like many young people, I aspired to one day become one. From the time I was nine or ten years old, when I read my first encyclopedia, my mind was open to all the possibilities of my imagination. I was always fascinated with the human body and how it functions. I hoped to one day be able to serve others as a doctor. So, I always thought I would be a doctor. I spent most of my childhood and secondary education preparing to be a doctor. The medical field is a vast area of study, thus, there are many careers that don’t end with a MD before your name. After taking my SAT’s and receiving pretty decent scores, I got a lot of offers to a lot of great schools. This made me realize that I could probably do just about anything that I wanted to do, but I still had my heart set on becoming a doctor. After much consideration and realizing that I could help my parents out, I decided to attend Florida A&M Uni...

How to Invest part 5 of 5 By Melica Niccole- Author, Stock Mentor, and Blogger

How To Invest ~ Part 5 Written by Melica Niccole Author, Stock BossUp App Mentor, and Blogger  The  fifth step  is the most important step of the five. Have fun while investing. A great way to have fun is to only invest what you are able to invest and that can be used as recreational funding activities. If you are strapped for cash or only have money for rent and utilities, please pay your rent and utilities first. The stock market has been around for years and will be here after your responsibilities get paid. In order to have fun, you have to make sure your basic needs are met. As discussed in part 4, investing with friends and family can be fun; from discussing short term and long-term stock options to stock splits and reverse stock splits. The other fun thing is getting other people’s perspective about a stock. There are many different reasons why people invest in certain stock. Some reasons are because of price, history, future, volatility, and just because it seems ...

Investing Part 4 of 5 by Melica Niccole Author, Stock Mentor, Blogger

How To Invest ~ Part    4 Written by Melica Niccole Author, Stock BossUp App Mentor, and Blogger  The  Fourth Step  is to create or seek an investment support group to discuss stock. My family and I have a text messaging group to discuss stocks to look into. This group includes my sisters, nieces, and nephews. My mother has also joined the stock talking discussions and does research on what individuals discuss. We discuss electric vehicles, pharmaceuticals, cryptocurrency, technology, and more. A lot of us are at different stages of investing, from just starting out to 3 years into investing.  I am saying this to let you know that you don’t have to be an investment guru. You just have to want to invest, develop a plan, implement that, and invest. A support group gives you depth to surface information. They provide context to what you know and what you think you know. They may also have questions, which helps you establish a better investment pla...

Investing part 3 of 5 By Melica Niccole - Author, Stock Mentor, and Blogger

The  Third Step  is to research companies via the company website, Google, brokerage website/app, and other methods you found useful. This can be the most challenging step because it’s a self-directed search, which can be tedious and time consuming. It truly does not have to be tedious. I would suggest researching products you currently buy and the companies who make them, such as household products, apparel, consumer companies, technology, and energy. Examples of some companies listed on the stock exchange are: Target, Lucid Motors, Apple, Discover Card, and Airbnb. That’s only a few companies listed; however, there are many more. In your research, make sure you understand what you are reading. Some information can be confusing, but you have the World Wide Web at your figure tips. Use all your resources to help you invest in your future. When I first started investing, I was a bit confused about a stock split, reverse stock split, market orders, limit orders, calls, puts, sup...
