Step two is to set up/ register your brokerage account. When you set up your account, you will be asked to provide your social security number. This can be off putting to some people; however, this is for tax purposes. The brokerage company has to provide you an end of the year tax statement that identifies your gains and losses. As long as it is a reputable company, you should have nothing to worry about.

While registering your account, you can include beneficiaries, just in case. I like just in case scenarios because who knows what life has in store for any of us. So we plan for the future now to make sure our family is provided for in our absence. This is also a great way to create generational wealth. Let’s start planning and helping our family plan for these unfortunate situations to make life much easier, at least financially.

If you are considering investing in cryptocurrency, you may not find many or any currencies on the sites for various stock brokerage companies. This will also depend on the brokerage company you have chosen to use. Take for instance, you may find Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin on Robinhood; However if you are looking to invest in Solana or Cardano, you will have to create an account with a crypto wallet.

There are many crypto wallets to select. One of the most popular wallets is Coinbase ( https://www.investopedia.com/tech/coinbase-what-it-and-how-do-you-use-it/ ) Coinbase has over 50 cryptocurrencies, allows you to earn currency by a Learn and Earn method, and provides an additional incentive for referrals that invest $100 on the site.

Another crypto wallet is the new The Black Wall Street App, which is a product of actor, Hill Harper. The app only allows you to invest in Bitcoin; however, it provides a platform for individuals to start investing to assist with bridging the wealth gap.
