Vision Board

I have decided to create a vision board for our family. I encourage you to create one for your family or yourself as well. Everyone has dreams or an idea of what they want their future to look like. A vision board is supposed to be a way of capturing your dreams, goals, or the desires of your heart into a snapshot and placing them on a board.

A vision board can be made on a poster board, a cork board, or a computer screen are some suggestions. Pictures from magazines of the home the dream home that you want to live in. Stock images from the internet. Printed words of the things you want to get better at…growing closer to God, getting a better job, getting a Play Station 5, again it’s your vision board, you can put whatever you want on it.

It can be for the year, or your lifetime goals. It’s your board so you get to choose. Prayer and visualizing what you want, along with a little elbow grease, are how you achieve your dreams. The good thing about creating one each year is that you get to look back through your visions over the years and see what the goodness of God has done for your life.

I have learned that having goals is important in life. It gives you something to focus on and gives you a sense of accomplishment when you reach them. You’ll find yourself doing things that will align your path with your goals as you glance at your board. Which is the next thing, you should put it in a place where you can see it. Being able to see it helps with visualizing your goals and reminds you of what you want to accomplish. If you design your vision board on your computer, then have it as a screensaver on your computer or the background image.

What you will find is that God’s blessings are all over your life, as the things you pray for and then put on your board manifest themselves in your life. The board will serve as a reminder of the goodness of the Lord. The requests that you make may even sound impossible to you given where you are currently at in life, they might be crazy to others, but all things are possible through Jesus Christ who strengthens us. Never forget that.

Some of the things I want to focus on for our family is building our organization and having it help or empower at least five people in the family each year. Grow closer to God. Improve our secondary business. With our new house, we have made a lot of changes, our goal for debt reduction is still in play. I would also like to see all of my kids with degrees, and settled with jobs. These are only some of the goals that we have for our family. I hope you select goals for yourself or your family.
