Magazine Articles featuring Edwards or Edwards Family Empowerment

1. The Edwards Family and the Edwards Family Empowerment has been featured in several family reunion articles for the year 2025. Check out our first article, written by Bill Vargus. Our Edwards Family Empowerment Founder, Renardo Edwards, won a contest to have his 2023 Family Reunion featured in the magazine.  Renardo was the President of the 2023 Edwards Family Reunion in Memphis Tennessee.

2.The Edwards Family Empowerment assisted with the research and development of the Family History Book for the Cunningham Reunion. We assisted with collecting oral history interviews and wrote an article that was featured in the June issue of Reunions Magazine: Vol 34 No 2 Magazine pages 30-31, which can be found at Reunions Magazine - Family, class, military reunion planning resources .  Renardo Edwards and Kenneth Shaw were instrumental in capturing a video of the family reunion. Natricia Edwards put together a video collage for the magazine and wrote the article. The video was the first of its kind for the magazine.


3. The Edwards Family Empowerment article will be featured in the September 2025 issue of Reunions Magazine. Controlling Credit Cards and Spending

When we were in college, we applied for credit cards and thought we hit the jackpot when we got approved. They started off as small approval amounts, $300 here or $500 there. We would make small purchases here and there, pay our minimum payment on our bill on time, and slowly the amount we owed grew. What eventually happened after making so many on time credit card payments, the credit card companies would increase our credit limit and the cycle would start again. We would celebrate with spending more. We were facing one of the biggest issues that most Americans face and that is credit card debt. As of mid-2019, Americans have 1.08 trillion in credit card debt. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover are the most popular cards to have. We used to be proud of the credit cards we had.
