Estate Planning - Leaving a Legacy for your Loved Ones pt 1 of 5 - By Natricia Edwards

No man knows the day, nor the hour that they will pass from this mortal realm, but we do know that pass from it we will.  With this knowledge in hand, we need to start preparing the legacy we will leave behind for our kids.  We do this through estate planning.  What is estate planning?  Chris Hogan explains it this way: "A method of creating a plan that manages wealth while you are alive and distributes wealth after you die." The purpose of having an estate is to leave a legacy for your loved ones. It is your way of helping them after you have passed through the veil. You've already done the best you can to teach, love, and empower your loved ones. Legacy is not just about money, but peace of mind for you that your loved ones will continue on empowered and prepared to face the world with the tools that you have given them.

Going into the military

Why I chose the US Army as a career? Twenty-five years later the answer is one of a life changing experience, it is one of looking back and counting your blessings because in and of yourself it can be hard making a career in the US Army. I was born in Mobile Alabama and raised in Irvington Alabama where I attended Alba High School and graduated with honors. I attended Alabama State University (ASU) on a Tuition Scholarship and at ASU is where I met my future husband Renardo Edwards after two years at ASU.  We both transferred to University of Alabama in Birmingham. We were stable and all, and, we had our first child there, but it always seemed in our present condition there was only so high you can go in Birmingham.   That's when I decided I had to get out of this place. I begin researching the opportunities that are provided by the military. I contacted a recruiter and he had me take the ASVAB where I scored a 125 whi...

Becoming a Pharmacist - How and why I became a Pharmacist by Sheri Edwards

How, and Why I Became a Pharmacist I always thought I wanted to be a doctor, like many young people, I aspired to one day become one. From the time I was nine or ten years old, when I read my first encyclopedia, my mind was open to all the possibilities of my imagination. I was always fascinated with the human body and how it functions. I hoped to one day be able to serve others as a doctor. So, I always thought I would be a doctor. I spent most of my childhood and secondary education preparing to be a doctor. The medical field is a vast area of study, thus, there are many careers that don’t end with a MD before your name. After taking my SAT’s and receiving pretty decent scores, I got a lot of offers to a lot of great schools. This made me realize that I could probably do just about anything that I wanted to do, but I still had my heart set on becoming a doctor. After much consideration and realizing that I could help my parents out, I decided to attend Florida A&M Uni...
